The vision behind this design was flexibility. In order to keep with the formal tone of this home, the kitchen had to "disappear" while the homeowners were entertaining, but remain open for more casual events and every day use. The sliding acrylic panels on the Absolute Black granite bare were the perfect solution. They separate the kitchen, yet they allow light to pass through so the room doesn't feel closed in.
