Marc Thee

Principal & Co-Founder

Marc Thee, Co-Founder and Design Principal of Marc-Michaels, graduated from Rollins College and began working in the design field in 1983. In 1985 he co-founded Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. along with Michael Abbott. His focus is primarily on high-end residential and commercial projects. Marc Thee is a talented speaker who speaks annually at trade shows, charitable events and on television appearances. Michael Abbott

CEO & Co-Founder

Michael Abbott is the Co-Founder and CEO of Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. In 1985 he co-founded Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc. along with Marc Thee. Michael graduated from UCF with his BSBA degree in Accounting. Prior to starting Marc-Michaels, he worked as an accountant at CPA firms, and was the Director of Internal Auditing for a large National carpet holding company. Michael oversees the financial and accounting aspects of the company and keeps the firm pressing forward.

Mark Tremblay

President

Mark Tremblay, President of Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Inc., joined Marc-Michaels in 1994 and has overseen multiple projects ranging in depth and scope. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Marketing. Mark has more than 20 years of professional experience. He travels frequently for the firm and skillfully works with the design team to deliver the client’s expectations. Mark continuously establishes long lasting relationships with clients and professionals that have turned into great friendships. Mark is also a Selfless Love Foundation Board Member.

Kathryn Dunagan

Vice President

Kathryn Dunagan, Vice President, has been with the firm since 1997.  A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Studio Art, Kathryn blends artistic intuition with over 25 years of hands-on experience. Her rare talent lies in balancing bold creativity with the rhythm of real-world deadlines—bringing ideas to life while elevating the client experience.

As Creative Director of the Marc Thee brand, Kathryn translates vision into form—turning inspiration into products that speak the language of design. Her longtime collaboration with Marc Thee is built on trust, shared passion, and a deep-rooted love for the art of creation. Together, their synergy fuels collections that are not only beautiful, but meaningful.

Shannon Callahan

Director of Design

Shannon Callahan is the Director of Design and has been with Marc-Michaels Interior Design since 2004. She is a graduate from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a master’s degree in Merchandising & Product Development. With over 18 years of design experience, her leadership, creativity, and proficiency has led her to produce some of the firms most successful projects.

Tara Kaufmann

Director of Interior Detailing

Tara Kaufmann is the Director of Interior Detailing, and graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a lasting love of world art and architecture. She has been working in the design industry for 18 years and joined Marc-Michaels in 2005. Since then Tara has been fortunate to travel around the world as a team member on some of the most exciting and exotic projects on the firms resume.

Melissa Adair

Creative Director

Melissa Adair, Creative Director, has been a cornerstone of Marc-Michaels Interior Design since 1995. A graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design, Melissa brings decades of experience, creativity, and leadership to the firm. Throughout her career, she has served as a Senior Designer, delivering award-winning designs that reflect a deep understanding of her clients’ needs and aspirations. Her portfolio spans both domestic and international projects, where her vision and expertise consistently translate into luxurious, personalized interiors.

Melissa’s work has been featured in numerous trade publications, showcasing her talent for blending innovative design with the unique preferences of each client. Her ability to turn inspiration into cutting-edge, livable spaces is what sets her apart.

Kelly McInvale and Catherine Pinyot

Marketing

With a combined 15 years of marketing experience, Kelly McInvale and Catherine Pinyot are the powerhouse duo behind Marc-Michaels’ marketing success. Kelly, a University of Florida alum, has been with the firm since 2012, bringing over a decade of brand and strategic marketing insight. Catherine, who joined the team in 2022 after graduating from Flagler College, contributes a fresh perspective and creative energy.

Together, they elevate the Marc-Michaels brand, promoting award-winning projects across local and international markets. Their efforts drive growth, boost client retention, and help achieve the company’s profitability goals.
